Holiday on Florence is a wonderful way to shop for holiday gifts and indulgences for yourself. The fun begins as soon as you enter Florence Ave., with all of its Patrick Amiot sculptures. How can you not smile when you see them? Then there’s the warming welcome of Abby Bard’s lovely home, her weaving studio where you’ll find gorgeous shawls and more, and all the other artists showing their creative wares. Nightmares of shopping at malls fade quickly amidst such charm.
I’ll be joining in for the second year in a row, with seven of my titles, including the Good Cook’s series, More Than Meatballs, and California Home Cooking, now in its 19th year and still in print. I’m honored to have been invited to this lovely annual tradition.
There are always nibbles and sips here, too. This year, I’ll contribute creamy polenta on both days; host Abby Bard will be making several toppings.
Join us to look, shop, nibble, and get to know your friends and neighbors.
